March 15, 2014 (ISN) – Evita Regža makes her debut at the world women’s curling championship when she leads Team Latvia into Harbour Station, March 15-23 in Saint John.

Regža skipped the country’s representatives at the 2013 European curling championships, Nov. 22-30 in Stavanger, Norway. The Latvians failed to take home a medal, but earned an all-important berth in the 2014 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship, presented by Booster Juice.

It will be her second visit to New Brunswick in the past year, after competing for Latvia at the 2013 world mixed doubles curling championship in Fredericton.

The team, from the capital city of Riga that hosted the 2013 women’s worlds, includes Dace Regža, Ieva Bērziņa and Zaklina Litauniece.

“You Gotta Be There” for all the excitement, when the 2014 world champions are crowned in Saint John.
