March 18, 2014, Victoria, BC (ISN) – There are just a few days to go for individuals and teams to sign up for the TC10K at the regular registration fee of $40. All teams need to be signed up before midnight on March 21, while individuals can still register until April 26.
Half Marathon registrants also have the same deadline with the fee of $65, and the Thrifty Foods 1.5K Family Run is $15. From March 22 the fees increase to $45 for 10K registrants, $70 for the Half Marathon and $17 for the Thrifty Foods 1.5K Family Run.
“There is no better time than the present to make a commitment to yourself and your team mates and at the same time, save money,” says Race Director Cathy Noel.
Participants can run or walk the scenic 10-kilometre route. They receive a special 25th Annual t-shirt featuring shirt designs from previous years, and, for the first time, when they cross the finish line they will receive a commemorative 25th Annual finishers medal. Runners in the inaugural Half Marathon will also receive the medal and also a New Balance finisher’s technical shirt.
“Twenty five years is a long time and we are excited about being able to give out medals to all the finishers of the 10K and the Half Marathon. Whether a participant is
walking or sprinting, our volunteers will be there to welcome them across the finish
line,” adds Noel.
The TC10K is Canada’s third largest 10-kilometre race. In 2013, 12,288 registered for the 10-kilometre race and the Thrifty Foods 1.5K Family Run. To register go to www.tc10k.ca.
