The Fraser Valley Cascades’ golf team has capped off their incredible season with customized Jostens rings.
The Cascades won both the men and women’s team competition at the 2013 PING CCAA Golf National Championships, as well as taking four of the six individual medals.
“I’ve been coaching at UFV for 10 years and after being close at nationals several times, I know how big an accomplishment it is to win it,” says head coach Chris Bertram.
“Having a memento like a ring as a reminder it important for both coaches and athletes. It’s a massive accomplishment, and for them to be able to look back on that ring for the rest of their lives is really important.”
Why did they choose Jostens? “I was lucky enough to win CCAA Golf Coach of the Year this year, and I had a good experience with the representative in getting my customized ring,” said Bertram. “I looked at their options in case we won nationals, and we did!
It was a pretty easy decision. They’re awesome!”
The rings were presented on Friday, March 28 during the Cascades’ annual athletics banquet.
The CCAA is a national sport organization that enriches the lives of student-athletes through intercollegiate competition.
