Playoff tickets on sale Monday


March 30, 2014, Brandon, MB. (ISN) – Tickets for Brandon’s first two home games of the Western Hockey League’s Eastern Conference Semi-Finals between the wheat Kings and Edmonton Oil Kings will go on sale Monday morning at the Keystone Centre box office.

While the tickets will go on sale at 11 am, the hockey club is encouraging fans to order their tickets by calling (204) 726-3555 or online at as the 2014 Royal Manitoba Winter Fair kicks off Monday morning at the Keystone Centre.

In addition to single game and group tickets, the Wheat Kings are pleased to announce that the 94.7 Star FM Viewing Lounge is available for both of next week’s games and by doing so, your package will include fifty (50) adult tickets. The Wheat Kings will travel to Edmonton for the first two games of the series, scheduled for Thursday night and Saturday afternoon before returning home for games three and four on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 8th and 9th.

Both teams advanced to the second round by sweeping their opening round playoff series. While Edmonton was knocking out Prince Albert, the Wheat Kings were busy taking out the number two seed Regina Pats. Linemates Jayce Hawryluk and John Quenneville paced the Wheat Kings attack by scoring ten and nine points in four games respectively.

Both Hawryluk and Quenneville are eligible for the 2014 National Hockey League Draft.
