March 31, 2014 (ISN) – During the 2013 track cycling season, two little girls were always seen waiting for the older kids to vacate the track so that they could get on and ride their little road bikes.

This year, they’ll be riding with the youth FastTrack program, thanks to the partnership of Greater Victoria Velodrome Association (GVVA) and PISE (Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence) that is bringing more rental bikes to the Westshore Velodrome for cyclists of all ages …. including 9 small track bikes for kids under 11!

Come and meet these two keeners, Elizabeth Innes (7) from Victoria and Lauren Reynolds (9) from Comox Valleyand find out how excited they are for the 2014 FastTrack program that starts Monday, April 7 and runs until late August.

Wednesday, April 2, 2014, Westshore Velodrome, 11 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Join PISE CEO Robert Bettauer, GVVA President Brian Belcher, 1992 Olympian/Olympic coach Kurt Innes FastTrack coach and Eric Simonson, Commissioner of the School Bike League to celebrate the 2014 season.

And get the latest on BikeJam – a full day of cycling skills, drills and a massive air bag at Juan de Fuca Recreation that kicks off the 2014 School Bike League on Tuesday April 8 with 100+ kids from Greater Victoria schools – and new high-performance programming at the Westshore Velodrome.
