April 8, 2014, Prince Albert SK (ISN) – The Raiders have three prospects headed to the 2014 Telus Cup National Midget Championship beginning on April 21st in Moose Jaw, including Lance Yaremchuk, Rhys Kipling and Ben Verrall.
Yaremchuk, a 17-year-old centre, spent the first 15 games of the season with the Raiders, scoring a goal and 2 assists before he returned to the Prince Albert Mintos, where he led the team in points per game, scoring 31 points on 15 goals and 16 assists in just 20 games, as well as 10 points in the playoffs.
Kipling, a 17-year-old defenceman, recorded 3 goals and 9 assists before adding 4 helpers in the playoffs for the Mintos.
Verrall, a 17-year-old defenceman, recorded 9 points this season, along with 49 penalty minutes, before 2 assists in the playoffs, patrolling the blueline for the hosting Moose Jaw Generals.
The tournament will begin with the Mintos taking on the representatives from Central Ontario, the Toronto Nationals, while the Generals open up their round robin play against Halifax, representing the Atlantic Region.
