April 10, 2014, KENT (ISN) – Seattle Thunderbirds general manager Russ Farwell today announced defenseman Shea Theodore has joined the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League. The Admirals are the top affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks of the NHL.
Theodore, a Western Conference 1st Team All-Star this season,led the T-Birds, and all WHL defensemen, in scoring 79 points on 22 goals and 57 assists. Theodore established a new team record this season for career goals by a defenseman with 45. In 215 career games over three seasons Theodore has 45 goals and 119 assists for 164 points.
Theodore set the team record for most goals by a defenseman in the team’s last game this season. He had two goals against the Tri-City Americans on March 16 to give him 45 career goals. He passed Deron Quint, who had 44 goals with the T-Birds over the 1993-94 and 1994-95 seasons. Theodore is in third place in team history for career points and assists by a defenseman, behind both Craig Channell and Thomas Hickey.
Theodore was selected by the Anaheim Ducks in the first round, 26th overall, in the 2013 NHL Draft. He signed a three year entry level contract with the Ducks on September 25, 2013.
