April 12, 2014, Victoria (ISN) – The Horseshoe season at the Greater Victoria Horseshoe Pitching Association (GVHPA) at Glanford park is off to a great start.

3 teams in the Mens League have  picked up all 8 points available for 2 weeks straight as they have completed two weeks in the eighteen week season.  Wilson Transportation, Belmont Collision , and Swiftsure Lounge lead the mens league with 18 points.

Along with teams off to great starts , two players had individual fantastic nights.  Colin Nicholson  lead off Week one with Player of the Week honors with a net score of 413.  He started with his first of 3 games with a whopping 104 score counting 31 ringers out of the 50 shoes.   In Week two  second year player Jerry Crowe of Peninsula Co-Op received his 70 pin on route to his net score of 400 for his Player of the week honor.

With 12 teams competing this year there are still room for any new players to join up.  If interested drop by Glanford park any tues or Thursday night at 6:30pm.

The Ladies 6 teams start this week on Wed nights again at 630pm.  New players also always welcome.
