Tennis Canada invites the public to attend Fed Cup practices


April 15, 2014, Montreal (ISN) – In preparation for the Fed Cup by BNP Paribas World Group I play-off tie between Canada and the Slovak Republic this weekend in Quebec City, Tennis Canada is inviting fans to come and watch team practices for free at the PEPS of Université Laval on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, starting at 9:30 a.m.

On Wednesday morning, fans can expect to see Aleksandra Wozniak and Sharon Fichman practice at 9:30 a.m. while Eugenie Bouchard is scheduled to be on the court at 1:30 p.m. The Slovak Republic players are scheduled to practice at 11:30 a.m. and at 4 p.m. Please note that practice schedules are subject to change without prior notice.

Both teams will be practicing all week and the draw will be conducted on Friday at noon at the PEPS. Sportsnet will be the official English broadcaster and will carry all of the weekend’s matches live, while TVA Sports is the official French broadcaster of the Fed Cup tie between Canada and Serbia.
