Clippers add defenceman

April 16, 2014, Nanaimo (ISN) – The Nanaimo Clippers are pleased to announce that 1994 Defenceman Jordan Mathieu has committed to play for the Team for the upcoming 2014-2015 season.

Jordan joins the Clippers from the New Hampshire Junior Monarchs of the Eastern Hockey League. Jordan is a 6’6″ 215lb defenceman who hails from Montreal, Quebec. This past season he tallied 14 points and 140 PIMS for the first place Monarchs.

Coach Vandekamp: “We are very excited to add Jordan to our roster for the upcoming season.

He will play a very important role on our defence corps as veteran leader who brings a physical presence and steady consistent play every night. On the ice Jordan is the left shot defenceman that we have been looking for to play a lot of important minutes for us. Off the ice he brings solid character, work ethic, and experience. We would like to welcome Jordan and his Family to the Clippers Family and we look forward to seeing him on the ice at Main Camp.”
