April 19, 2014, VICTORIA, B.C. (ISN) – Players and coaches from the Westshore Rebels Junior Football team spent their Saturday at the Victoria Canadian Blood Services clinic giving back to their community.

Long weekends are always busy for Canadian Blood Services and the Rebels organization was proud to help. Unfortunately every person has a friend or family member that will require blood and each donation has the potential to save 3 lives.

Every Rebel that attempted to donate today were first time donors so CBS hopes they continue in the future and spread the word to their teammates.

The Rebels organization urges everyone to take an hour out of their day and help save a life by visiting www.donate.ca or 1-888-2DONATE. This is one of many community events the Rebels organization hope to partcipate in 2014.
