May 8, 2014, SASKATOON, SK (ISN) – The Saskatoon Blades have more goaltending depth to the organization following a trade with the Spokane Chiefs.

The Blades have acquired 1996-born goaltender Trevor Martin from Spokane in exchange for a conditional 7th round selection in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft.

Listed at 6’2, Trevor spent the season playing midget AAA with the Leduc Oil Kings.  He went 9-4-1 this season with a .925 save percentage and 2.41 goals against average, along with 3 shutouts.  He’s from Ardrossan, Alberta and was originally a 9th round pick by the Chiefs in the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft.

“Trevor is a big and mobile goaltender,” said Blades managing partner Colin Priestner.  “He had an excellent season with Leduc, adds depth to our goaltending position and will battle to make our team at training camp in the fall.”
