May 16 2014 ISN – London, ON – The Canadian Hockey League today announced the officiating team for the 2014 MasterCard Memorial Cup in London, ON.

Four referees including two from the Ontario Hockey League, one from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, and one from the Western Hockey League have all been assigned for the championship. A crew of five linesmen from the OHL have also been selected for the event.

OHL referees in the 2014 MasterCard Memorial Cup include Sean Reid of Ottawa and Scott Oakman of Mount Albert, with Mario Maillet of Dieppe, NB, representing the QMJHL, and Brett Iverson of Richmond, BC, representing the WHL. This marks the first MasterCard Memorial Cup for Oakman, Maillett, and Iverson, while Reid is skating his third event previously assigned in Shawinigan in 2012, and Vancouver in 2007.

Linesmen selected to work the MasterCard Memorial Cup are Jordan Browne (Toronto), Mike Hamilton (Uxbridge), Mike Harrington (Hamilton), Dustin McCrank (Guelph) and Cory Piche (Burlington). Browne was a member of the 2011 MasterCard Memorial Cup officiating team in Mississauga, while Hamilton, Harrington, McCrank and Piche are working their first MasterCard Memorial Cup.
