The Old Boys, bolstered by two UVic Rugby fifteens players in Fergus Hall and Crosby Stewart, wouldn’t look so “old” as the South Seas couldn’t find the answer for the young legs of the Glenlyon team. After South Seas would score an early try, Glenlyon would answer with four tries to take a 19-5 half time lead enroute to a 34-5 score late in the game. South Seas would score once in the dying seconds to add to their tally but would have to defer to a victorious Old Boys team for a 35-10 Cup Final. Crosby Stewart would be named the 2014 BCRN Men’s MVP.

In the Women’s Sevens Cup Final, FTF (Velox#1) would take on the Beach Crabs (Velox#2) in what proved to be a much tougher game to call. FTF would put the first points on the board freeing up Lynzi Anderson to turn the corner on the wing and run downfield untouched for the try. The Beach Crabs would push back to take a 17-5 halftime lead.

FTF would complete an impressive comeback, adding two more trys to pull even with a 22-22 score at the end of regulation time. Extra time to decide the winner was mutually deferred by both teams and FTF was determined the winner of the 2014 Women’s Langford Sevens tournament. Lynzi Anderson would be named the 2014 BCRN Women’s MVP for her efforts.
