KINGSTON, Ont. – The Royal Military College of Canada isexcited to announce the hiring of Joely Christian-Macfarlane ashead coach of its women’s volleyball team.

Christian-Macfarlane comes to RMC with a wealth of playing andcoaching experience. She most recently served as head coachof the Queen’s Gaels for seven seasons, a tenure whichfeatured two OUA Final Four appearances, as well as an OUAChampionship in 2011-12.

“I am extremely honoured and feel truly blessed to bejoining the RMC family”, said Christian-Macfarlane. “The opportunity to work at such a great university with suchamazing traditions is exciting. I am equally thrilled to workwith such a great group of student-athletes and build on theprogram’s recent successes.”

Christian-Macfarlane steps in for Kerry MacLean, who resignedfrom RMC earlier this spring. She officially takes over theprogram on May 26th.

The mission of the Royal Military College of Canada,Canada’s Defence University, is to produce officers with themental, ethical, physical and linguistic capabilities required tolead with distinction in the Canadian Forces.
