May 20 2014 ISN – Huskie football announces that offensive assistant coaches Brent Schneider and Jason
Sulz will not return to the program for the 2014 season.
Sulz and his family are relocating to Edmonton. His wife, Lauren, has accepted a
full-time faculty position at the University of Alberta. Schneider has decided to
resign from his position to devote more time to his growing family and teaching
“Both Jason and Brent have been dedicated and productive Huskies, as both players
and coaches, since the mid-90s,” said Huskie head coach Brian Towriss. “We thank
them for their loyalty and devotion to our program and wish them well as they
further their respective careers.”
Schneider quarterbacked the Huskies from 1992-96, leading the team to two Vanier Cup
titles. He was a two-time Canada West MVP. He joined the coaching staff in 1997.
Sulz played with the Huskies at slotback from 1998-2001. He joined the coaching
staff in 2003.
