May 21st, 2014- Victoria, B.C. (VIGolf.ca) – On Thursday June 5th, the Arbutus Ridge Golf Club will be closed to host an exciting charity event that will be raising money for Young Life of Canada which is a Christian ministry that reaches out to high school age kids and provides a caring environment for teens to feel loved and accepted, regardless of their background or beliefs.

What makes this event unique is that it’s going to be an ironman competition in which each participant will be playing 100 holes of golf in about 10 hours. That’s five and a half rounds of golf, and over 5.5 kilometers walked. Brad Morris, who is the author of BE Golf- Pocket Caddie is one of the participants in this event and is excited to able to help out a worthy cause.

“It’s my first time doing this but something I’ve always wanted to do. I believe the goal is to raise about $20,000. I think they have surpassed that in previous years,” mentioned Morris.

Each golfer has their own individual web page set up explaining their event, and why they’re doing what they’re doing. The page is also set up to accept donations, as each participant is expected to raise a minimum of 100 dollars with all of the proceeds are going to go towards Young Life Canada. The event starts at 8am and will go until 6pm.

Registration is now closed, but if you’re interested in voluteering, donating, or coming out to watch all of the details can be found here:
