(ISN)- Toronto, May 29, 2014 – Tennis Canada announced on Thursday that Aces will be making
its return to Sportsnet 590 The FAN for the start of its fifth season on June 2 at 7
p.m. ET. An hour-long radio program dedicated to tennis, Aces features interviews
with some of the sport’s best players, coaches, and journalists. Hosted by Tom
Tebbutt and Roger Lajoie, Aces also incorporates discussion and analysis of all the
tennis news from on and off the court, plus fan interaction and prizing.
“We are thrilled to be working with Sportsnet 590 The FAN and Rogers Communications
again on another season of Aces,” said Kelly Murumets, president and CEO, Tennis
Canada. “With tennis in Canada arguably at an all-time high right now, it is so
important to have outlets like Aces available to the increasing numbers of tennis
fans located across the country. Being able to provide people with interesting and
engaging tennis discussions will only help grow the sport even further in Canada.”
Returning for his fourth season as co-host of Aces, Tebbutt will again be joined on
the program by veteran radio personality Lajoie. Canada’s top tennis journalist,
Tebbutt has been covering the sport for over 35 years and he will continue to share
his expertise and experience from within the tennis world with Aces listeners.
Tebbutt will be live from the French Open in Monday’s season premiere, and among the
featured guests will be 15-time Slam champions Bob and Mike Bryan, the world’s No.
1-ranked doubles team.
Aces will air throughout the summer until after the US Open, with each of the 10
shows featuring interviews with different tennis personalities. Among the guests who
