GEORGE, INNES AND WHITE POST LIFE TIME BESTS IN COQUITLAM

June 3,2014(ISN) – COQUITLAM, British Columbia – Trinity Western’s Nathan George (Coquitlam, B.C.), in
the 400m, Calum Innes (Bearsden, Scotland), in the 110m hurdles, and Declan White
(South Surrey, B.C.), in the 800m, all clocked personal best times as they led an
impressive day for the Spartans track and field team at the CIS High Performance
Twilight Meet Sunday at Percy Perry Stadium.

The second-year George won the 400m with a time of 47.12, while Innes finished the
110m hurdles in 14.20 to claim top spot and White nabbed fourth in the 800m in
1:50.21.

Innes’s time is the 10th fastest 110m hurdles effort in Scottish history.

Sunday’s event was the second of a three event series that features university
athletes from TWU, Victoria, Alberta and Calgary as well as a number of elite
athletes from various other clubs.

The final event of the series will see athletes compete in the Jesse Bent Memorial
Cheetah Meet June 7-8, which is also at Percy Perry Stadium.
