Victoria native Alec Dillon is one of 34 goaltenders invited to the ninth annual Program of Excellence goaltending camp, taking place June 11-14 at the Markin MacPhail Centre at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary.

Dillon will be one of the 10 goaltenders in the under-20 age category that will be candidates for Canada’s National Junior Team and the only goaltender in that category invited from outside of CHL.

During the 2013-2014 season the rookie goalie played in 33 regular season games where he recorded 21 wins, 7 losses and 2 ties. Alec had a 2.76 Goals Against Average and a .910 Save Percentage with one shutout. In the playoffs he played in all nine games with a record of 4 wins and 4 losses. The keeper had a 2.56 GAA and .908 SA% with two shutouts. To cap off his rookie campaign he was named the team’s Rookie of the Year.

Dillon has committed to play division one college hockey at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for 2015/16. Also In the NHL’s final draft rankings the 18 year old Dillon was ranked 13th for North American Goalies.
