June 11, 2014 – The 2015 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association’s Women’s Soccer National Championship is headed to Peterborough, Ontario.
The Fleming Knights of the OCAA have been awarded the tournament, which will take place Nov. 11-14, 2015. The event will be held at the Fleming Sport complex, a newly completed, state-of-the-art, FIFA Level One turf facility.
“We are excited to host the 2015 CCAA Women’s Soccer National Championship and to showcase our new turf fields at the Fleming Sports complex located on the Peterborough campus,” said Fred Batley, Athletics Director at the institution.
Fleming has a rich history of hosting OCAA Provincial Championships and All Star games in men’s soccer, women’s volleyball, curling, cross-country running, golf and rugby. They’ve also recently hosted the 2012 CCAA Invitational Curling National Championships.
The Knights are looking forward to welcoming the country’s top collegiate female soccer athletes. “We cannot wait to have athletes and spectators from all over Canada experience Peterborough and the Heart of Kawartha’s with a rich history of hosting major sporting events,” said Batley.
The 2014 CCAA Women’s Soccer National Championship will be hosted Nov. 5-8 by Medicine Hat College of the ACAC..
The CCAA is a national sport organization that enriches the lives of student-athletes through intercollegiate competition.
