June 10 , 2014(ISN) - VICTORIA, B.C. – In just two years, the Victoria HarbourCats’ brand has become a very familiar one on Vancouver Island – the distinctive name and sharp ‘Cat Head’ logo that is synonymous with an exciting brand of baseball and family entertainment.
Now, that brand has an on-line merchandise sales home for the 2014 West Coast League season, with the goal to become an in-demand brand across the baseball world. With the home-opening series upon us, the HarbourCats are excited to announce a partnership with *shopvictoria.ca <http://shopvictoria.ca>* to display and sell the team’s popular merchandise on-line. From New Era caps to Nike polo shirts, to the Baggins shoe selection of Converse and Vans branded footwear, to novelties such as blankets, mini-bats and logo baseballs, the HarbourCats and *shopvictoria.ca <http://shopvictoria.ca>* have teamed up to help that brand sell to people around the world. “We put a premium on buying our goods and services locally, so working with Doug, Carey and Paul from Shop Victoria is a perfect arrangement,” said HarbourCats General Manager Jim Swanson. “We are glad to offer our merchandise beyond our store and our stadium, and to promote Victoria and our brand of baseball. We are proud to represent Victoria, and pleased to have *shopvictoria.ca <http://shopvictoria.ca>* helping us do that.” *Shopvictoria.ca* is a full-service website that provides on-line sales structures and processes, along with other internet marketing options. Simply put, it’s an on-line marketplace guide to local businesses, products and services – now including HarbourCats merchandise. “First, we love baseball, so this was an easy one for us to get involved with,” said Doug Popadynec, owner. “We have the ability to provide video marketing, which we have done for the HarbourCats, and cross-promote on so many digital platforms. Our business is growing, just like the HarbourCats are growing as a brand, and we’re excited to do it together. We can’t wait for this season to get into full swing.” A promotional video for HarbourCats merchandise has been produced, and is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fyLS0DRvow&sns=em To view HarbourCats merchandise, go to www.harbourcats.com/shop, or http://www.shopvictoria.ca/victoriaharbourcats/?listing.action=products&pcatid=0 *ROSTER NEWS, AND HOME-OPENING SERIES PITCHING ROTATION* The HarbourCats will have three NCAA Division-1 pitchers start the first home games, a series June 10-11-12 against the Cowlitz Black Bears, set for Sports Traders Diamond at Royal Athletic Park.
