June 22,2014(ISN) – VANCOUVER, B.C., — The Vancouver Canucks, in conjunction with the National Hockey League, released their 2014.15 regular season and pre-season schedule today. The Canucks regular season opens on Wednesday, October 8 at Calgary. The first home game of the season is Saturday, October 11 at Rogers Arena versus Edmonton.
The 2014.15 NHL season marks the second year of a league-wide, four-division format providing fans the opportunity to see every team in every arena. Marquee match-ups highlighting the Canucks schedule at Rogers Arena this season include the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday, October 30, the Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings on Thursday, January 1 and Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday, March 14.
The Canucks schedule features 29 games against Pacific Division opponents, 21 games against remaining Western Conference teams and another 32 games against Eastern Conference clubs.

The Canucks will play a total of 12 back-to-back series in 2014.15 with eight series taking place on the road, three road/home series and one home/road back-to-back split. The Canucks will make 15 road trips and host 15 home stands. Vancouver’s longest road trip consists of seven away games from November 28 – December 9. The Canucks longest home stand ranges six games from January 27 – February 7. The busiest night of the week is Tuesday with 18 games, followed closely by Thursday and Saturday when 17 games each are scheduled in 2014.15.
The Vancouver Canucks will play a total of seven pre-season games beginning September 23 versus the San Jose Sharks. The Canucks host four pre-season games at Rogers Arena and three games on the road in San Jose, Calgary and Edmonton.
