July1,2014(ISN) – KENNEWICK, WA – Tri-City Americans’ Governor/General Manager Bob Tory announced
today that the club has selected Zachary Fournier to serve as their new athletic
therapist for the upcoming 2014-15 season.
Fournier earned his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training degree, along with a
Minor in Exercise Science, from the University of Tampa in Tampa, Florida in 2011.
He then moved on to Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, where he completed his Masters
of Science in Athletic Training in May of 2013. During his clinical experience,
Fournier worked as a Research Assistant at Ohio University, while also serving
simultaneously as Athletic Trainer for Parkersburg High School and Ohio Valley
Following graduation, Fournier served as Head Athletic Trainer for the San Francisco
Bulls of the ECHL during the 2013-14 season. However, the Bulls franchise dissolved
mid-season, and Fournier then joined the San Francisco Giants as a Minor League
Athletic Trainer, based in Scottsdale, Arizona. There, Fournier served as Associate
Athletic Trainer for Spring Training and Extended Spring Training, and then worked
as the Head Athletic Trainer for Arizona Fall Rookie League.
Fournier will officially begin his position on August 1.
