(ISN) – Montreal, July 4, 2014 – The Rogers Cup presented by National Bank will not only be
about bringing together the best players in the world in 2014. Some of Quebec’s most
influential women, the Australian Genie Army – and several Quebec ones – as well as
young tennis players will all be part of the festivities.

Influential women of Quebec to offer support for tennis
As part of their continuing efforts to develop the next generation of players,
Tennis Canada is organizing a charity evening honouring some of Quebec’s most
influential women on Tuesday August 5. These women distinguish themselves in their
respective disciplines, and are a symbol of hard work and commitment. Tennis Canada
is looking to create a link between these influential women and the growing success
of tennis in Canada and Quebec. The money raised from this event will be invested in
tennis development programs, particularly those offered in parks and schools.

Genie Army mania
The Genie Army fever has invaded Quebec. The first army made headlines during
Eugenie Bouchard’s run to the Australian Open semifinals. Since then, new armies
have been created in Montreal, Quebec, and Trois-Rivières during the last two Fed
Cup ties. The original army from Australia has organized a trip to Montreal to
support Bouchard during the Rogers Cup and take part in tournament activities. Fans
will also have the chance to take their photo with the now famous group.

Kids’ tennis day
As part of Tennis Canada’s initiatives to make tennis accessible to children,
tournament organizers invite kids between the ages of 5 and 12 on final Sunday on
August 10 between 10 am and 12 noon to hit the courts as part of a kids’ tennis day.
Tennis Quebec and Tennis Montreal will provide the equipment and there will be a
special menu for the occasion. The kids and their families will be invited stay
on-site to watch the final on a big screen beginning at 1 p.m.

“Choose Your Team” package
This year, the Rogers Cup will create an ultimate fan section on Centre Court.
Spectators who purchase the new “Ultimate Fan” ticket package will be able to sit in
the designated section to support one of four players for this pilot project. They
can choose one of Eugenie Bouchard (#GenieArmy), Maria Sharapova (#SharaFamily),
Aleksandra Wozniak (#TeamAWoz), or Serena Williams (#RenasArmy). The package gives
one ticket in the ultimate fan section of their favourite player for her first match
on Centre Court, a gift bag, and a 50% rebate for a ticket in the section for all of
the other singles matches that Bouchard, Sharapova, Wozniak, or Williams play the
rest of the week. Which player fan club will be the loudest, most loyal, and most
colourful?

The 2014 edition of the Rogers Cup presented by National Bank will be held from
August 1 to 10. The WTA’s best players will face off at Uniprix Stadium while the
top players on the ATP World Tour will be in Toronto. Tickets for both tournaments
are still available at www.RogersCup.com (http://www.rogerscup.com/)
