July 7, 2014(ISN) – Lindsey joined LifeSport in the fall of 2012 after moving to Victoria from Ontario. When she started she had a decent swim and bike, but running was her strength. Throughout the year of 2013 Lindsey and LifeSport Coach Dan Smith worked on overall fitness and gradually transitioned to developing strength and consistency on the bike.

Through her dedication to the group indoor trainer sessions these past two winters, attending a LifeSport training camp in Maui, as well as weekly summer time trials, she has really shown her biking legs. As a coach, I have seen her transition from rides that were highly variable depending on how she was feeling to, in 2014, always putting out a strong effort for the duration of the distance. The consistent training develops confidence that a given output can be maintained, however uncomfortable, does provide results.

Part way through the inaugural 70.3 Victoria Lindsey put it all together, despite having a sore ankle, and finished second in her age group and earning a spot for World Championships in Mont Tremblant this September. Last weekend, in Saskatoon, Lindsey used her bike speed to finish first in her division and third woman overall.

Congratulations Lindsey!
