Hello ISN Fans

July 18,2014(ISN) – I know it has been a little while since you have heard from me, but I promise I have been keeping busy and have many good things to tell you in this update.

In my last update, I was actively looking for a sponsor to help with the financial aspect of my trip over to Victoria to sing for the WHL Royals. I was fortunate enough to receive help from Nicolas Normandeau, owner of Double N Hardwood Floors. I spent two (very cold) nights in Victoria singing for the Royals, and the team’s DJ Tom Grainger even asked me to do a guest presentation at Belmont High School for his business students about the realities of the music industry. It was fun to answer questions and talk about my experiences!

Once I was back home, it was back to the Langley Events Centre to sing for the Vancouver Stealth. As some of you may already know, I was the official singer of the Star Spangled Banner for the team, but for my last game I was ill and unable to perform. It was disappointing that I had to miss the game, but overall it was an honour to be provided with such an amazing opportunity. I met many new lacrosse fans, and made many new friends.

In regards to hockey, there is a lot I need to fill you in on! I sang for several more Vancouver Giants games, as well as the Coquitlam Express playoffs. This was my third season singing for the Express, and it was very exciting to watch them win the 2013-14 Fred Page Cup, and continue onto the Western Canada Cup. I further sang at Queens Park Arena on March 14th – the New Westminster Police Department was teaming up with the New Westminster Salmonbellies to play against some Vancouver Canucks Alumni to raise money for Cops for Cancer. Lastly, I was further blessed with another opportunity to sing for the Vancouver Canucks. This game was extremely special because the team was honouring the captain Henrik Sedin for his 1000th NHL game. Prior to the game, there was a special ceremony that included a video as well as the presentation of several gifts.

After the hockey and lacrosse season ended, that meant the WLA (Western Lacrosse Association) and Vancouver Canadians baseball season were starting. I was honoured to have been provided with the opportunity to sing for the Vancouver Canadians home opener, and I have been actively singing for a handful of Burnaby Lakers and Coquitlam Adanacs games (even during some intermissions!).

Another incredible opportunity came my way on July 12th – I sang for my very first MLS Vancouver Whitecaps game. The Vancouver Whitecaps have been voted as the best sports experience in Vancouver due to the energetic atmosphere. The fans are constantly cheering, and chanting throughout the whole game. Thank you again to the team for having me!

The final big event I need to update you on is that I will be singing again for the BC Lions on July 25th! Geroy Simon will be admitted into the Ring of Honour this night.
Needless to say, I think I have had a very exciting last few months singing for many major sports teams in Vancouver. However, my next obstacle is focusing on the recording of my very first Country-Pop-Rock EP (extended play)! I will be professionally recording 3 songs that I have written; however, it is extremely difficult to get started in the music industry without any financial backing. For this reason, I launched a campaign to help me raise some funds, and I have been extremely fortunate so far. Another big thank to Double N Hardwood Floors for making an extremely generous $500 contribution towards my album. I cannot wait to get started! If you think you would be interested in making a donation, please read through the many information packages I have posted on the campaign site:
Thank you again for reading, and I hope you will continue to check back to see what is new and exciting in my life!
