July 22,2014(ISN) – LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western’s Regan Yee (South Hazelton, B.C.) will
be representing Canada at the 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships in the 3000m
steepchase this week in Eugene, Oregon.

Yee, who will be entering her second year with the Spartans this fall, will compete
in the 3000m steeplechase heats Thursday at 10:05 a.m. PT with the hopes of
qualifying for the final, which runs Saturday at 4:55 p.m.

She earned her spot at the world junior championships earlier this year with an
impressive performance at Stanford’s Payton Jordan Invitational when she posted a
time of 10:39.79 in the 3000m steeplechase, which came under the IAAF entry standard
of 10:50.00.

Most recently, Yee won the 2000m steeplechase at the 2014 Canadian Junior
Championships in a time of 6:38.81. She also finished third in the 3000m in 9:29.68.

Last year, Yee won the 2000m steeplechase at the Canadian junior championships and
then went on to finish sixth at the 2013 Pan American Junior Championships in the
3000m steeplechase with a time of 11:13.61.

This year’s IAAF World Junior Championships run from July 22 to 27.
