July 24, 2014 (ISN) It’s been a busy day so far in the first day of the Commonwealth Games here in Glasgow.  The mens and women’s Judo has been progressing throughout the day with mixed fortunes for Canada.  Jessica Klimkait is on a roll, having seen off Connie Ramsay to secure her semi-final spot

Scotland’s Renick sisters have both secured semi-final spots, Kimberley in the -48kg category and Louise in the -52kg.  Louise saw off Canada’s Audree Francis-Methot in the quarter final to progress to the semi against India’s Kalpana Thoudam, with sister Kimberley facing Onoh-Obasi Okey of Barbados in the -48kg category.

In the water, Ryan Cochrane of Team Canada is performing well.  Ryan is in the 400m Freestyle final at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre later today after a solid performance in the heats with a time of 3:46.62, the final is tonight at 19:16 GMT.

 

The Canadian Rhythmic Gymnastics team are in action in the final later tonight, we’ll bring you all of the news as it happens.
