Jr Girls Repeat Champion Returns Home

July 24,2014(ISN) – Lindsay Hodgins 17 Returns home to the Victoria Airport with the hardware,
after capturing the 2014 Jr Girls Horseshoe Pitching Championship in Buffalo
NY last week. She won the championship last year and successfully retained
the title in her last year of eligibility .

She will be playing in the Adult division next year so this was her last
chance at the World tournament in the Jr division.

She was accompanied on the trip with her father Peter and her Grandfather
(biggest fan) Wayne.

In qualifying she was in tough with the JR boys as she took a few hard
losses. But qualified as the top Girl for the JR Girls Championship. The
top 6 ringer percent girls went into the Championship.

Lindsay won 4 and lost 1 in the Championship, with the only lost was to
fellow Canadian from Ontario Kaitlyn Pond.

Lindsay finished with a ringer percentage of 53.7 in the final 5 games.

On hand to greet her at Victoria Airport was 3 time Canadian Peewee (12 &
under) Dalton Moffat. Both Lindsay and Dalton will be travelling to Calgary
in Aug. to defend their Canadian Championships.

Also both will be playing in the GVHPA Open and Saanich Opens this Saturday
and Sunday July 26 & 27 at Glanford Park 620 Kenneth st.

If you want to watch come by between 9 am and 4 pm . No charge for
admission.
