25 July, 2014 (ISN) Scotland’s women’s netball team looked comfortable winners against St. Lucia, running out 58 – 30 winners in the end.  Scotland performed consistently, averaging an 80% scoring success rate across all four quarters on the match.  Tomorrow Scotland face New Zealand who had a close match against Malawi, edging out winners 50 – 47 earlier today.

Scotland’s goals came courtesy of Lynsey Gallacher, Lesley MacDonald, Joanne Pettitt and Gemma sole with St Lucia’s responses coming via Indira Laurencin and Shem Maxwell.  Similarly Scotland’s goal assists were spread throughout the squad more than thos from St Lucia with 53 assists from Scotland to 27 from St Lucia.

Scotland seemed better organised than St Lucia and better able to cope with St Lucia’s attacks than St Lucia with Scotland’s.
