26 July, 2014 (ISN) Day three has started with a gold for Canada in the rhythmic gymnastics for Patricia Bezzoubenko.  Patricia is still to compete in another three gymnastics finals today, so far she is on course for a clean sweep in the rhythmic gymnastics at Glasgow 2014.

Team Canada is also being represented in  boxing, hockey, athletics, judo, cycling, shooting and squash, as well as Rugby 7s which we are watching today at the Ibrox Stadium venue.

The Canadian rugby squad have a tough nut to crack with both Scotland and New Zealand in their group.  Before the Games Canada coach Crowley described New Zealand as the “benchmark”, and rightly so as New Zealand haven’t lost a game in four Games – in Kuala Lumpur, Manchester, Melbourne and New Delhi.  In fact, since Rugby 7s was introduced in 1998 only one team has ever won – New Zealand, so Rugby Canada is under no illusions of the challenge ahead of them this weekend.
