Darryl Conrad has slim hopes of making it to medal position, saying he “might be good enough for top seven, but not much of a chance of a medal.” Finishing first in group B obviously please Darryl, as he said himself, “I have only had two weeks to prepare, so all things considered, I was very pleased.”

On Glasgow he said, “The crowd were amazing. Everything in Glasgow has just been great – from the athletes’ village to the venue itself.”
