29 July, 2014 (ISN) Canada are performing well in the Tollcross pool so far today, with Brittany MacLean breezing through the women’s 400m Freestyle Heat this morning ahead of Scotland’s Hannah Miley and Jazz Carlin of Wales.

In the team events, Canada placed first in the women’s 4 x 100m Medley Relay ahead of New Zealand and Wales. Sinead Russell, Kierra Smith, Audrey Lacroix and Michelle Williams finished in a time of 4:07.13.

The final success for Canada in the pool this morning was with the men’s 4 x 100m Medley Relay won by Russell Wood, Richard Funk, Coleman Allen and Yuri Kisil in 3:37.71, also with New Zealand and Wales in tow.

Luke Reilly narrowly missed out on qualification in the 200m men’s Medley, coming in 5th in a heat where the top five were separated by 4 seconds.
