Success for team Canada at the Commonwealth Games Mountain bike event in Glasgow.

Reigning World Champion Catharine Pendrel(CAN) wins gold in the women’s mountain bike at the Commonwealth Games.

Pendrel took an early lead in the first lap of six and held on to win, with a time of 1:39.29 seconds..

Emily Batty(CAN) came in second, one minute and ten seconds later, with Rebecca Henderson of Australia coming in third

Team Canada have remained undefeated in the Commonwealth games Mountain Biking since it’s inclusion in the 2002 games.

This brings Canada’s medal count to nine gold, three silver and twelve bronze. Many more are to follow.
