As day ten comes to a close, Team Canada are already relishing the fact they’ve had their most successful games yet.

Today saw three bronze, two silver and a gold medal added to the Team Canada total.

At the start of the day Anqi Luo and Mo Zhang, defeated England to capture bronze in the Women’s Doubles Table Tennis event.

Canada’s diving team brough home two medals this evening. Jennifer able captured silver in the 3m springboard with a total of 336.90 from her dives, while Vincent Riendeau brough home bronze in the mens 10m platform.

Athletics saw the third of the bronze medals of the day, coming from Alysha Newman in the Pole Vault event with a 3.80m jump. She shared the medal with Sally Scott of England who managed an identical jump.

Finally boxing saw the second of the silvers and the sole gold for team Canada.

Ariane Fortin lost by a split-decision in the womens 75kg event, losing to Savannah Marshal of England.

Boxing heavyweight (91kg) Samir El-Mais, saw off New Zealander David White, to capture the commowealth gold for boxing.

With one day left Canada already have their most successful games, and tomorrow there are more chances of medals before the closing ceremony at Hampden.
