Aug 6,2014(ISN) – The Quality Foods World’s Longest Hockey Game is excited to announce that on Sunday, August 10th, San Jose Sharks Defensemen Matt Irwin will be popping by the event from 10:00 a.m till Noon.

Irwin, lives on Vancouver Island and played part of his Junior Hockey Career with the Nanaimo Clippers under our Honorary Chairman Bill Bestwick.

Irwin will be entering into his third season with the San Jose Sharks, where in 2 seasons he has a total of 32 points.

Also on Sunday the 10th, there will be a Dunk Tank by Donation from 10:00 a.m till 3:00 p.m, with the likes of City Councilor Bill McKay in it at 10:00 a.m, City Councilor/Honorary Chairman Bill Bestwick in it at 11:00 a.m and many more.

Don’t forget the game begins August 9th at 8:00 a.m and the public is welcome to the entire event at the Nanaimo Curling Centre’s Lacrosse Box.
