Aug 7,2014(ISN) – Kelowna Rockets captain Madison Bowey scored once as Team Canada improved to 2-and-0
at the National Junior Team Summer Development camp, a four team exhibition series
being played this week in Quebec.

Bowey blasted home a point shot to add to Canada’s lead as Team Canada hopefuls
bettered Team Russia 5-2 at Palais des Sports Léopold-Drolet, Sherbrooke, Que.

It was Bowey’s first game of the development camp after Canada opened the week-long
set of games with a 6-2 win Tuesday over the Czech Republic.

Canada and the Russians will play again on Thursday before playing the Czech
Republic on Friday.

Canada, Russia, Sweden and the Czech Republic are taking part in the week-long
development camp.

Team Canada is also holding practices all week long as well as the exhibition games
as it begins the selection process for the 2015 World Junior Hockey Championship
being held this year in Toronto and Montreal.

Bowey is coming off third full second season with the Rockets and his first as team
captain. Last season Bowey played in all 72 regular season games for the Rockets,
scoring 21 times and setting a Rockets franchise record for goals by a defenceman,
surpassing Tyson Barrie.

Bowey added 39 assists for 60 points and was also plus-44 on the season.
