All 16 nations have switched cities before their group finale at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2014, with Canada having arrived in Montréal on Saturday 9 August. Earlier in the week in Toronto, Canada fell 0:1 to Ghana before reversing an 0-2 half-time scoreline against Finland to pull off a 3:2 win and avoid elimination.
Canada’s group finale is Tuesday 12 August against Korea DPR. Tickets to the match are available via FIFA.com/Canada2014.
At the airport on Saturday, both Canada and Korea DPR were greeted by fans and media. Mascot Shuéme was also on hand to high five the players.
Groups A and B will close out their group play on Tuesday while Groups C and D will close out their group play on Wednesday. Canada must finish among the top-two teams in its group to advance to the quarter-final phase. First- and second-place teams from Group A will face second- and first-place teams from Group B.
The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2014 runs 5-24 August. The 32-match competition takes place in four host cities: Edmonton, Alberta; Toronto, Ontario; Montréal, Québec; and Moncton, New Brunswick.
