Aug 22,2014(ISN) – Prince Albert, SK- We had a chance to catch up with Josh Morrissey prior to
Raiders Training Camp after his busy offseason.
How was your experience in the AHL with the St. John’s IceCaps?
It was a really good experience, it helped me a lot as a player
and a person. It was exciting to go to the finals and be a part of that
team. We had a great group of guys, a few former WHL players that I had
already known a bit. The experience gave me a chance to see what it was like
to play at the pro level which was good for me.
What did you do in your off-time this summer?
The summer was pretty short since we made it to the Calder Cup
Final (St. John’s IceCaps) but I was able to do some golfing and working
out. I also went to World Junior Camp in August. It was nice to be back home
for a bit and spend some time relaxing.
How does it feel being back in Prince Albert?
It’s always exciting to be back here and at the Art Hauser
Centre, I’ve kind of grown up here over the past three years. I can’t wait
for training camp with the boys, it’s an exciting feeling.
What are you looking forward to about this year?
I’m really looking forward to Winnipeg Jets camp. I’m going to
try my best to make the team but I also want to focus on having a good camp
in P.A and prepare myself for the upcoming season, wherever that may be.
Message for Raider fans
It’s gonna be a great season and I can’t wait to see the fans
pack the barn. Be sure to buy your season tickets and support the boys this
