Aug 23,2014(ISN) – Langford, B.C. -The Westshore Rebels Junior football team accepts the
#icebucketchallenge in support of finding a cure for ALS (Amyotrophic
Lateral Sclerosis).

The entire team will take part in the ice bucket
challenge right after the Sat Aug 23 home game which starts at 1pm. There
will also be ALS volunteers accepting donations for this worthy cause during
the game and afterwards.

Unfortunately ALS has touched the lives of people in our community and this
is a great way to support research for a cure. ALS can strike anyone at
anytime, regardless of age, gender, or ethnic origin. It does not affect the
senses, and only rarely does it affect the mind. The equipment costs for
each patient average $137,000, while nursing and home care costs can be up
to 10 times this amount. Come down and watch the game and the bucket drop
in support of ALS.
