AUG,27 2014 (ISN) – KENNEWICK, WA – Tri-City Americans Governor/General Manager Bob Tory announced today
that the team has signed 15-year-old prospect Jordan Roy to a standard WHL Players
Contract.

Roy, a 6’2 180-pound forward from Kimberley, British Columbia, played the 2013-14
season with the Lethbridge Midget AAA Hurricanes, competing in the Alberta AAA
Midget Hockey League. Roy was drafted in the 5th round (95th overall) in the 2013
WHL Bantam Draft.

“Our scouting staff has done a terrific job in identifying a player like Jordan,”
Americans’ Head Scout Barclay Parneta said. “He has shown a tremendous desire and
ended up winning rookie fitness testing at camp this year, combined with an
extremely strong on ice performance made it easy to see he is the type of
player/person that will have success.”

Tri-City Americans Governor/General Manager Bob Tory announced today
that the team has signed 16-year-old prospect Nicholas Sanders to a standard WHL
Player Contract.

Sanders, a 6’1 193-pound goaltender from Calgary, Alberta, played the 2013-14 season
with the Calgary Rangers Minor Midget, competing in the Alberta Minor Midget AAA
Hockey League. Sanders played in 39 games for the Rangers, accumulating a 3.65 GAA,
a 0.89 save percentage and three shutouts. Sanders was drafted in the 6th round
(125th overall) of the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft.

“Nick has had a very strong camp,” Americans Head Scout Barclay Parneta said. “He
came to camp and showed a determination to compete at this level. He has shown the
tools and abilities that will allow him to play in the WHL.”

Drohan, a 6’2 165-pound defenseman from Calgary, Alberta, played the 2013-14 season
with the Calgary Buffaloes AAA Midget, competing in the Alberta AAA Midget Hockey
League. Drohan recorded six goals, 17 points and 20 penalty minutes in 41 games for
the Buffaloes. Drohan was drafted in the 3rd round (59th overall) in the 2013 WHL
Bantam Draft.

“Since the day we drafted Mark, he has evolved and developed into a very quick
thinking mobile puck moving defenseman,” Americans Head Scout Barclay Parneta said.
“His development continues to trend upwards and we look forward to watching him
continue on that path.”
