Aug 28,2014(ISN) – Portland Winterhawks forward Paul Bittner has been selected to play in the CCM/USA
Hockey All-American Prospects Game, set for September 25 in Buffalo, New York.
Entering his third season with the Hawks, Bittner had 22 goals and 27 assists for 49
points in 63 games last season, and added six goals and six assists for 12 points in
21 games. Bittner is one of just three players from the Western Hockey League to be
invited to play.
“This will be a great opportunity for Paul to showcase his abilities in front of NHL
General Managers and scouts,” said Portland Winterhawks General Manager & Head Coach
Jamie Kompon. “I was very impressed with his training camp and I know that he will
proudly represent the Portland Winterhawks and the Western Hockey League.”
The All-American Prospects Game, in its third year, assembles the top U.S. players
who are eligible for the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. The Hawks have been represented in
both previous games. Last year Chase De Leo and Keegan Iverson played, with Iverson
winning the game’s MVP award. Dominic Turgeon was also named to the roster but
