Update on Nick Klassen

Sept 5, 2014 (INS) – *In last night s game versus the Nanaimo Buccaneers
Nick Klassen in the middle of the third period went down awkwardly on a hit
and laid motionless on the ice.

Our Assistant Coach Rob Gaudreault and our Volunteer Trainers assisted him

while they waited for 911 responders to come.

The Nanaimo Paramedics took Klassen to the Nanaimo Regional General
Hospital where he was assed and at 1:45 a.m. he was allowed to leave.

We are glad to say that Klassen left the hospital walking out on his own.

Head Coach Jason Johns says they will keep assessing the situation with
Klassen and as of now he is considered day-to-day.

The Oceanside Generals would like to send a big thanks to our Volunteer
Trainers, Nanaimo Fire Department and the staff at the Nanaimo Regional
General Hospital for their help.
