Sept 6,2014(ISN) – The West Kelowna Warriors dropped their third straight exhibition game tonight in Penticton by a 3-2 score.

West Kelowna would get on the board at 16:13 of Period 1 as Liam Blackburn got a gift off the pad of Hunter Miska. The Powerplay marker was Blackburn’s 1st of the pre-season.

The Warriors would jump out 2-0 just two and a half minutes later as Kylar Hope poked a puck through the pads of Miska, and West Kelowna went to the room up a pair.

The only goal in the 2nd period went to the Vees as Mitch Newsome would be sprung on a breakaway after he got out of the box, beating Warriors starter Andy Desautels high glove.

The Vees would keep coming in the third, aided by multiple big saves by Miska in the first 3 minutes.

Penticton fed off the energy, and Jack Ramsey finished off a nice 2 on 1, and Patrick Newell picked up the winner beating Desautels on the glove side again.

Next up for the Warriors is a rematch tomorrow, September 6th at Royal Lepage Place. Listen live on wdcr.ca or watch on FastHockey.

Ice Chips:
Miska made 23 saves on 25 West Kelowna shots, while Desautels made 26 saves.
