Raiders attending NHL Camps

Sept 9,2014(ISN) – It’s what every hockey player dreams about, playing in the NHL and this year, five Raiders get the chance to prove what they have at NHL training camps.

Leon Draisaitl (Edmonton Oilers), Josh Morrissey (Winnipeg Jets), Mackenze Stewart (Vancouver Canucks), Reid Gardiner (Minnesota Wild), and Hunter Warner (Minnesota Wild) depart for their respective camps this week. As a part of camp, Draisaitl, Morris­sey, and Stewart will all be a part of the Young Stars Classic in Penticton, B.C. The tour­nament features prospects from the Canucks, Oilers, Flames, and Jets; its gets underway September 12th and wraps up September 15th. Gardiner and Warner will compete in the annual Prospects Tournament in Traverse City, Michigan held September 12th through 16th.

The Raiders wrap up pre-season play this week with a game in Regina on Wednesday and at home versus the Pats on Friday.
