Virginia 529 College Savings 250 Race Recap

Recap: Richmind, VA (September 9th, 2014) Josh Reaume and the No.87 Rick Ware Racing team came into Friday’s NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) event at Richmond with high hopes that a second visit to the Virginia short track could deliver a good performance.

Sadly, all hopes of a solid finish went up in smoke on lap 85. Reaume battled his way into the top 30 after a 39th place qualifying effort. The Redlands, CA native stayed out of trouble while the Rick Ware Racing team adjusted on the car. But on lap 85 Reaume’s No.87 went up in smoke with a blown engine, ending his night early.

Josh Reaume Quote: “Unfortunately mechanical failures are part of this sport. This one just didn’t work out for us. We’ll stay positive and start moving forward toward the next opportunity.”

Racing for a cause:
The newly released book “Cry Of The Outcast” is the incredible true story about a tiny premature African baby boy who was abandoned and left to die. All proceeds of the book for the next six months will go towards fighting the Ebola Virius, which is spreading rapidly throughout Western Africa. For more information visit
