Kendra Kay To Perform Anthem Friday Night


Sept 16, 2014 (ISN) – Brandon, MB.– The Brandon Wheat Kings are pleased to announce that rising country
music star Kendra Kay Kvemshagen
will perform the National Anthem before this Friday’s Western Hockey
League season opener at Westman Communications Group Place against the
visiting Regina Pats.

An Elkhorn product, Kendra Kay graduated
high school this past June and has set her sights on conquering the
country music industry.

Kendra Kay’s journey into country music
began during the winter of 2013 when she travelled to Nashville to
record a demo for a prestigious radio contest. It was there that a
chance encounter with a talent scout on Lower Broadway led to her
meeting record producer and songwriter Jeff Jones.

With Jones in her corner, Kendra recorded her first single “It Was” last January and
since then she’s been back to Tennessee to complete her debut album titled “Broken”.

The first single “Some Things Go Together Like That”
will be released to radio later this month, while the album and singles
are now available on I-Tunes for purchase. The videos for both singles
can be viewed on YouTube.

Kendra recently returned from the
Canadian Country Music Awards in Edmonton, where she performed at the
Showcase event and met with people from across the Canadian Music

Tailgate Party, to be set up in the Convention Hall, beginning at 5pm.
