September 18, 2014, Victoria, BC (ISN) – Scott Harrigan, Owner of Independent Sports News (ISN) and Brad Knight, General Manager and Head Coach of the Victoria Grizzlies, are pleased to announce that ISN and the Grizzlies have entered into a unique media partnership for the coming British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) season.

Under the agreement, ISN photographer/reporter Christian J. Stewart will travel with the club for all road games – riding the bus along with the players and coaches – and provide exclusive photographic and journalistic coverage of the team including game action and behind-the-scenes articles and photography, and in-depth stories and features on players, coaches and support staff.

Content will be made available on the ISN and Grizzlies website, as well as via linkages on the ISN and Grizzlies social media sites, notably Facebook and Twitter. Game action photography will also be available for sale and editorial use via Stewart’s personal web site (All URLs provided below).

“This is a very unique opportunity we have with the Grizzlies,” said ISN owner Harrigan. “With the way media is changing these days, we have to start thinking outside the box a bit about how teams are covered and to the type and extent of media content being provided. We feel that this opportunity allows for our readers, as well as fans of the Grizzlies, to stay in touch with the team on the road in a way that they never could before.”

Grizzlies Head Coach Knight is also excited about the type of coverage that ISN will be providing. “I really want to give ISN and Christian an “all-access” pass so to speak and let him have full reign on what he covers. The game action reporting and photography will be top notch as usual, but it is the behind-the-scenes and feature articles that come out of this – the “24/7” type stuff – that I think will really help to get our fans back home engaged with the team when we are away. “

Stewart was on hand to cover the Grizzlies final exhibition game played in Sooke last Saturday and will begin his road coverage of the team starting with the BCHL Showcase this coming weekend at the Prospera Centre in Chilliwack when the Grizzlies take on the Vernon Vipers (Saturday at 3:30 pm) and Langley Rivermen (Sunday 2:00 pm) in their first two games of 2014-2015 BCHL season.
