Sept 23, 2014 (ISN) – Kennewick, WA- NHL Central Scouting has released its preliminary list of players to
watch in 2015, with Americans’ Brandon Carlo, Parker Wotherspoon and Brendan
O’Reilly making the list.
Carlo is rated as an ‘A’ prospect, which means he is a potential first round draft
pick candidate. The Colorado Springs, CO native is in his second season with the
Americans’, and has four points in two games, ranking him tied for third in the
league in points. He played in 71 games in his rookie year, scoring three goals and
Wotherspoon garnered a ‘B’ rating, which means he is projected as a second or third
round draft pick. The defenseman from Surrey, B.C., is in his second season with the
Americans, and has a goal and an assist in two games this season. In his rookie
season, Wotherspoon played in 62 games, recording 16 assists and 18 points.
O’Reilly is a rookie defenseman for the Americans this season. The native of
Southlake, TX, received a ‘C’ rating, which means he is a projected fourth to sixth
round selection. He played for the Dallas Stars U-16 team last season, recording
eight goals and 30 points while playing in 41 games.
Tri-City will wrap up a three-game home stand this Friday, Sept. 26, against the
Seattle Thunderbirds at 7:05 p.m. at the Toyota Center on Trios Foundation Night and
sponsored by Cherry Creek Radio (The Mix 105.3), KEPR-TV and the Tri-City Herald.
